Game Update April 19, 2025 vs Huntsville G2 (AREA Game)
Grissom Tigers defeat Huntsville Crimson Panthers behind strong performance from South Alabama commit Charlie Cassingham.

Charlie Cassingham struck out 11 batters as the starter led the Tigers past the Panthers 7-1 on Saturday. Cassingham surrendered four hits and one run over seven innings while walking none.
The bottom of the lineup was strong for Grissom Varsity Tigers. Braydon Weaver, Griffin Grigsby, and Grayson Stroble combined for six of the team’s 10 hits in their victory. They scored three runs and drove in three.
A single by Will Carter put Huntsville on the board in the bottom of the fourth.
Grissom took the lead in the top of the fifth. Dalton Dardin doubled, scoring two runs, to give the Tigers the edge, 2-1.
The Tigers added three more runs in the top of the sixth inning on two hits. Weaver homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Cassingham hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Reece Thomas took the loss for Huntsville. The starter went five and one-third innings, giving up four runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out five and walking one.
Grissom Varsity Tigers amassed 10 hits in the game. Weaver led Grissom Varsity Tigers with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Weaver, Grigsby, Stroble, and Dardin each collected two hits for Grissom Varsity Tigers. Grissom Varsity Tigers ran wild on the base paths, collecting five stolen bases for the game.
The Tigers will host Hoover in the first round of the 7A Playoffs next Friday at Tiger Field!!!
